Had errends to do today so I didn't get to complete Michael Kline's assignment today. Scored some texture wall paper at Lowe's for a couple of dollars each on clearence. Normally these are around fifteen to twenty dollars a roll. So I maybe into slab pots in the near future.lol The pattern on the right is by far the best of them, but I can probably find uses for the others though.

Hadn't thought about doing tiles. Maybe several tiles that together complete the pattern... maybe with a breaking glaze... Now see what you started? How am I going to throw 12 things by noon with this rolling arond in my mind?lol
that's pretty much what popped into my mind when i saw it. + shaped tiles combined w/ square ones, grout lines following those lines that weave their way between. besides, the assignment wasn't throwing 12 things was it? wouldn't 12 tiles count? lol... i know one thing, i'm going to keep my eye out for textured wall paper. i want to make some tiles for my kitchen re-do and that might jsut do the trick when the time comes. btw, what glaze is that on p4 on your website, blue vases, lovely color.
Actually it was make 12 things by noon, not necessarily throw 12 things.lol The vases were done in a cone 10 reduction glaze. The glaze is called Winokur Clear Blue and was a glaze at the community college. If it's on a very white clay body you get a very nice transparent blue-green color. If it's on stoneware it tends to be more towards a Celadon green color. I had the recipe at one time. If you would like it I'll see if I can find it.
