New Year

Happy New Year. Sort of neglected this blog, but I hope to change that this year. Here are some quick shots of the bowls I did the texture on. Not real impressed with any of them. Thought a single glaze maybe boring so I dipped the rim in another glaze on a couple and don't think that works either. My favorite is the bottom Celadon bowl.

The bowls are nice. I need to do some more experimenting--layering is my current project. Have some nice test tiles that I should try out on bowls!
How did you get that nice yellow? I've tried lots of recipes and variations but can't get a good yellow.

All of these are cone 10. The yellow is Hatcher's Gold. Works well when over a Tenmoku.

I like these bowls.
The green at the bottom is very nice.
I think you need to keep blogging.
Thanks for stopping over at Whynot and I'll check back to see what else you are up to.
Texas! I have been there and had a sister who lived there.
God love you it does get hot there!
