Cone 10 experiment part 2

Here is another cone 10 glaze called green blue black over a cone 6 clear. Again I wanted to cause some movement of the top glaze. Glazes were probably on too thick. I would like the movement shown on the sides without the pooling at the bottom of the bowl.

Hi Bert! I remember you from clayart & I have one of your mugs from the 'stay-at-home mug exchange. It's good to see you blogging!
Your glaze experiments look interesting. Are you still firing to ^6 -- just trying the ^10 glazes on top of the ^6 for more melt?

Hey Judy. I remember, that's why I listed your blog. Happened upon it from someone else's blog list.

I fire to cone 6 here at home and cone 10 at the community college. The experiments were fired there to cone 10. I was just trying to get movement in the cone 10 glaze without having to apply a thick coat of the cone 10 glaze.

Bert - I'm in the same situation -^6 at home & ^10 at a community clay center where I'm an apprentice. I do most of my work at home. I'm getting a strong urge to work with earthenware/colored slips & oxides.
I think I'm just too lazy yet to get started -- it would mean a big change over.
I've put you on my blog roll. It's nice catching up with your work.
